These terms are under review. Live paid use is not available until review is complete. Stripe’s terms apply to its hosted payment and onboarding services.

Held a Spot takes reservations and payments together, so you never have to ask. Your people know a paid spot is a held spot.

Held a Spot is operated by TradeFront LLC. Payments are taken by Stripe into the session organizer’s own Stripe account, and Stripe’s terms govern that account and its hosted payment and onboarding pages. What is collected, and what is never collected, is set out on the privacy page.

Sessions and payment

The organizer offers the session, sets its details and cancellation rule, and is responsible for the transaction, taxes, refunds, and chargebacks. A spot is held only after Stripe confirms payment. Held a Spot charges the stated platform fee; Stripe’s normal processing fees are separate.

Cancel under the organizer’s posted rule and the paid spot becomes a credit toward that organizer’s next session. This is not an automatic refund. The organizer may issue a refund in Stripe to the original payment method; Stripe controls its timing and whether it can complete from the organizer’s balance. Held a Spot’s one-dollar fee is retained when a refund is issued at launch.

A partial refund does not release a spot. Nothing here limits a right that applicable law does not allow the organizer or Held a Spot to waive.

For organizers

The organizer must be an adult able to enter this agreement. Held a Spot records adult identity only. Do not put a child’s name or other child information into a session, place, name, or contact field.

By creating a session, the organizer confirms that the session is accurately described, lawful to offer, properly permitted or licensed where required, and allowed by Stripe and any messaging provider used for it. The organizer is responsible for delivering the session and for participant disputes, chargebacks, taxes, refunds, safety, permits, and required insurance.

The organizer authorizes Held a Spot to create and retrieve the connected Stripe account, open Stripe-hosted onboarding and payment pages, create direct charges with the disclosed application fee, and receive connected-account events needed to record payment and completed refunds. Held a Spot stores only the account identifiers and operational states needed to run the session; Stripe’s Dashboard remains the organizer’s complete money record for balances, payouts, disputes, and refunds.

Private management links act like keys. The organizer must keep them private and report a lost or exposed link through Support. Held a Spot may close payment or messaging access when a provider disables it or when use is illegal, deceptive, harmful, or violates provider rules.

Session texts

Held a Spot sends transactional texts for the session an adult joined: one request to reply YES, followed only after YES by relevant day-of, rain, move, cancellation, or opening notices. Message frequency varies with session activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. No ads.

Support is not open while live payments and messaging are gated.
