Is Held a Spot legit?
Yes, and here is enough to check it: who runs it, where the money goes, what is stored, and what is not switched on yet.
Held a Spot takes reservations and payments together, so you never have to ask. Your people know a paid spot is a held spot.

Who runs Held a Spot?
TradeFront LLC, a US company. The service does one thing: it takes the reservation and the payment for a capped session at the same time, and gives the organizer one list of who paid.
Where does my money go?
To the organizer’s own Stripe account. Stripe charges the card on its own hosted page, which is where card details are entered and where they stay; we never see or store a card number. Stripe takes its standard rate and we take $1 for the spot, both out of that payment.
Do I have to make an account?
No, and there is not one to make. You open the organizer’s link, type the name the spot is under, and pay. There is no password, no app and no download, for organizers or for anyone paying.
What do you store about me?
For someone paying: the adult name on the spot, the payment state, and a random token in your browser so the same browser can find its place again. Never a child’s name, age, photo or medical detail, because there are no fields for any of it. The full list is on the privacy page.
Will you text me?
Not today. Texts are not switched on yet, so nothing asks for a number and nothing is sent. When they are, it will be one request first, texts only after you reply YES, and only about the session you paid for. There are no marketing texts and there are no ads.
What happens if the session is cancelled?
Every paid spot is released and the payment is recorded as a credit toward the organizer’s next one. Nothing goes back to a card automatically. If you want money back rather than a credit, that is between you and the organizer, the same as it would be without us.
Do you sell anything about me?
No. Data is not sold, people paying are scoped to the organizer who invited them rather than pooled into a directory, and no phone number is ever shown on the list an organizer can screenshot.
How to check a link
Every page of ours is on heldspot.com, and a link to hold a spot always starts there. We never send one to anybody out of the blue: a link reaches you because the person running the session shared it. Paying happens on Stripe’s own hosted page, and nothing we send asks for a password, because there are no accounts to have one.
